A couple weeks back when I attended the Stampin' Up! Regional in Providence, I sat at a table with a fellow demonstrator whose iPhone case featured some fun Designer Series Paper -- Hi Lindsay! I loved it and it got me thinking that perhaps I should personalize a case for my iPhone.
The case I have been using is one that I love -- it features a picture from pumpkin picking last fall with my daughters and husband. And while I will certainly continue to use it, it is good to change things up now and then! When I had an opportunity this past weekend, I looked for a new iPhone case that has a clear back. I picked up a Griffin case with a black rubber edge. There was also the option for a white edge but I know that I would struggle to keep it clean...my iPhone spends time in my pocket, my purse, the cup holder in the car and of course in the hands of two little ones.
Case in hand, I decided it was time to make a fun personalized cover. I'll reveal the first one that I made today and you'll be seeing more in the future. Here it is:
This case was created using My Digital Studio/mds2. The striped background is from the Be Awesome Today Easel Calendar Digital Kit, the text is the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart Framable Template, and the flowers are from the Upsy Daisy stamp brush set.
Something that you may not realize about the digital content from Stampin' Up! is that it does not retire the same way that products do from the catalog. Upsy Daisy is no longer available for purchase as a traditional stamp set, however, you can still get the digital stamp brush set for use with My Digital Studio/mds 2. The Upsy Daisy set includes the flowers silouhettes and 3 different sentiments. This particular set does come with the software so if you have it, you should have this available to you.
I'm looking forward to creating more cases and showing them to you in future weeks!
If you've been reading my blog for awhile now, you will know that I want to show you my favorite new digital content that has just been released. This week's pick falls into the embellishment category:
I've found myself using these flowers in other color choices that have been available. Love this new set which features: Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Gumball Green, and Whisper White. It is known as Festive Blooms and it is item # 131327.
Be sure to check out all of the newest downloads here.
Are you are an iPhone 4 user, tell me if a personalized case interests you! I'm considering a few possibilities...a video tutorial, a "new case each month" kit, a special holiday kit. Lots of ideas running through my mind and I'd love to know what you would like!
Before I sign off, I must say that I do love the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart. I love sharing what I am doing with you and hope that you find inspiration in the ideas that I share.
