Headed to a baby shower or sprinkle? Today's project is a little gift tag that is sweet and simply delightful for a shower or baby gift. It was made by my friend Sue - we attended our very first Stampin' Up! workshop together back in 2005 and have stamped together ever since. You could easily re-create this project in any color of your choice!
The inside is equally adorable:
Don't you just live the candy dots and the little arrow?
Please feel free to leave a comment for Sue -- she's a regular Stampgoodness reader and I know she will see it!

The Soho Subway Designer Series Paper was instantly one of my favorites and I know many others love it to you...are you one of those people? If you don't yet love it, you just might when you see the home decor project that I created for today! Believe me when I say this project is easy -- really, really easy.
Step One - Find a great frame
Just $4.48 for a frame that I knew immediately would be fabulous to use
with some Soho Subway paper?! No hesitation whatsoever to purchase it!
Step Two - Frame a piece of Designer Series Paper or leave empty for a photo
Step Three: Prepare to decorate the frame
Center a piece of paper on the frame and use the
original photo opening insert; use tape to hold the insert in place.
Use your Stampin' Trimmer to carefully cut out the opening to surround
the picture. Once the four sides are cut you may need to use your Paper
Snips to make the final cuts on the corners (I did).
Cut out additional images for decorating the frame. Next determine a layout and photograph it or commit it to memory.
Step Four: Use ModPodge to adhere your paper to the frame and to add shine
No photo here but an accurate account of making this with my 4.5 year old...Brooklyn and I took out paint brushes and ModPodge to put together the frame. She dripped lots of ModPodge onto a piece of scrap paper where the jar was resting and proceeded to rub her hands in it...just lovely! After cleaning up her hands I convinced her that I needed seal the frame with a couple thin layers of ModPodge on my own.
Step 6 - Enjoy the frame
Unless you know to look for it, you can hardly tell at all that the Grand Central Station image is actually in 2 pieces...look carefully at the "O" and you can make out the line between the two.
The latter photo is the frame hanging up near our little eating/blog typing counter in our kitchen. Love how it looks here and am not sure the frame will ever make it to Brooklyn's room now where it was originally intended to go.
While the opening is framing a portion of the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper, this frame would look spectacular with a black and white or sepia tone photo taken near a NYC landmark! Do you agree?
Project Time and Cost
Not including time spent going to the store and buying this frame, this project took less than 2 hours to complete including the drying time between layers of ModPodge. Hands on time was less than an hour. Total cost less than $10.
LET'S PLAY MADLIBS:
A little time. A few supplies. A very ______________ picture frame.[Please leave a comment with adjective would you use to fill in the blank.]

Happy Friday, friends! Time for some new color combos to get you started on some projects this weekend! The very first color combos I shared for Five on Friday were monochromatic and you loved them. It has been several months since I shared those and today seemed like a perfect day to share brand new monochromatic combinations. Grab your papers, your inks, your stamps, and get creating!
For those who like to print from a PDF, here it is!
Please be sure to let me know what combo you will be trying by leaving a comment!

Need to make some quick and easy cards? A little washi tape, a stamp & ink, and card stock is all you need! The two cards that I am sharing today were literally created in a matter of minutes. Using the new Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape makes these cards bright and cheerful. Change out for the This and That Epic Series Designer Washi Tape for a more subtle look.
Here's a closer look at the cards:
As much as I don't like ribbon or twine to be seen on the inside of a card, it was a little surprising that I had no concern whatsoever about running to Washi tape over the top of the mini card.
The Gingham Garden Designer Series Washi Tape (item 129314 - $4.95) includes the three rolls used for these cards. Please tell me which roll would you use up first -- the pink "x" roll, the gingham, or the flowers? Be sure to leave a quick comment with your response.
Good to Know - Stampgoodness Tips:
Before using your Washi tape for the first time, tear a small piece off the end to acquire a ragged edge.
Layer your pieces of Washi tape slightly over one another for a casual look (and so that you don't have to ensure each piece is perfectly straight).
Stampin' Up! Goodies Used to Create Today's Project:
Whisper White cardstock (100730), Daffodil Delight cardstock (119683), Pacific Point Classic Stampin' Pad (126951), Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape (129314), Sentiment stamp from the Paper Pumpkin Welcome Kit

Today you are being treated to a whole parade of cards from this past week -- all feature the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper. Quite certain that this paper has now made it to several people's wish lists! This series has so many different looks and I really hope you now have a whole lot of ideas on how to use it! Each and every card you see today is going to be mailed to Stampgoodness readers -- one commenter per day was chosen at random to receive each day's card.
A big thank you to one and all for reading along each day and leaving comments -- not just to receive these cards, but in general!
One last thing before I reveal who will receive each card...I'd love to know what Designer Series Paper you'd like me to feature next week. Your choices are:
Birthday Basics
I Am Me
Modern Medley
Please let me know what paper you'd most like to see in action by leaving a comment today!
Now let's take a look at each card from the past week and see just who will be receiving these:
And that would be Debra Higgs who said:
"I love your card especially the ribbon. Keep up the good [w]ork."
And that would be Connie Snowberger who said:
"WOW, what a bright card, Kerry! Love the colors and circles are always a good choice (large dots!). ;o)"
And that would be Rachel S who said:
"I like them all, but #5 is the one I will try first." [note: Rachel is referring to the 5 card sketches that I shared on Friday AND she will receive all five mini cards]
And that would be ChristalGail who said:
"I love this! It looks quick and easy to do."
And that would be Carol Carriveau who said:
"Such
a pretty card...great color combo and I really like what you did with
the Happy Birthday sentiment! The bakers twine is a pretty accent!"
And that would be Chris R. from Iowa who said:
"This
is gorgeous! I hadn't even noticed the smudge at all! I sure hope
that I love the paper as much as I do with your postings when it comes!
What did you use to cut out the middle? This too is a mini card? It
definitely has the wow factor! Looking forward to another paper pack
that you will showcase! Thanks for the tips too!"
The answers to Chris' questions are that I used the Blossom punch and a Simply Pressed flower at the center of the card. And, yes, another mini card measuring 3 x 3 inches.
Are you one of the six individuals who will be receiving cards? Please email me -- kerry at stampgoodness dot com -- with your US postal address so I can get your card on its way. Please email me within the next 24 hours or a new recipient will be announced on Friday.

Time for sharing my Mojo Monday entry with you - a fresh new sketch to help get your creative juices flowing! In addition to Mojo Monday, this project also meets the challenges set forth by the Pixel Maven's DigiChallenge and the Dynamic Duos! So as the title said, an ultimate paper crafting challenge!
Today's project was created using MDS and Tuesday is the day each week that Stampin' Up! releases new digital downloads -- see the latest downloads by clicking here! One thing that I love about MDS is that you have access to papers, stamps, and more that are retired. The Designer Series Paper I used is from Howlstooth & Scaringbone and it was available in last year's holiday catalog...great zig zag action!
And, please, always remember, you can take a look at anything that I have done digitally and use it as a springboard for a traditional paper crafting project!
Let me show you what inspired today's project:
Please tell me...what appeals to you most about this project? The sketch (Mojo Monday), the fabulous star stamp (Pixel Maven's DigiChallenge), or the color scheme (Dynamic Duos)?
As a reminder, I'll be mailing out each and every card I shared since last Tuesday! You must leave comments by 12 noon Eastern Time today for any card you'd like to receive! Tomorrow's post will announce the recipients so be sure to check in to see who is receiving each card.

It's a Monday mini card featuring none other than the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper. Based on your comments the past few days, I know that a number of you tuned into the fact that I used Venetian Romance throughout the week. You've had a chance to see the range of patterns this pack includes (and you did not even see all of them) and how you can create everything from modern & crisp designs to elegant & vintage ones. This is a very versatile collection!
This little mini card is the last card that could be yours! Recipients will be selected at random from all cards shown since last Tuesday -- for those who have been commenting on each and everyone, perhaps you'll receive more than one! Be sure to leave your comment by 12 noon Eastern time tomorrow and check back on Wednesday to see who the recipients will be!
Whomever is drawn for today's card will actually get another just like this one less the smudges in the top right corner. As much as I realized I got ink on my finger when I pressed the flower center into place, I did not pay any attention to that fact whatsoever when I picked up the card. Oops!
Good to Know - Stampgoodness Tips:
If you apply ink to a Simply Pressed creation, be sure the ink has dried completely before you attach the element to your project.
To add full and deep color to a Simply Pressed creation after it has be made, pick-up the creation with your Paper Piercing tool and place it face down on an ink pad. Use the paper piercing tool to roll around the object to cover the edges. Pull out the paper piercing tool and press the object down into the ink pad to ensure color on the center and any creases. Pick up the object with your paper piercing tool and set it aside to dry.
Use a piece of Sticky Strip or Liquid Glue to hold your Simply Pressed creation in place (again, just be sure the ink is DRY before you do so).
Curious about the photo from today? I shared this last night on Instagram...it is my "go to" for sneak peek sharing. The card looked much better with this fun Instagram filer (Lo-Fi) than any of the others that I took and I decided to simply use it here too. If you use Instagram, you can find me there as thepapercrafter.

If you need a birthday card, this one's for you! If I had to define the card in one word, I'd pick elegance. The Modern Mosaic embossing folder and the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper provide the elegance with pure simplicity in making the card. With the addition of the Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, perhaps casual elegance is the better descriptor...but that is two words!
Fabulous Phrases and the Word Window Punch make greetings easy to add. Whenever I am doing two or more words from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set, I almost always mount them as shown and that means snipping a bit from one end of each Word Window punch shape that I've made. For this card, I mounted the sentiments Stampin' Dimensionals first and then snipped off the ends, but you can snip either before or after mounting.
Do be sure to leave a comment if you'd like me to mail this card to you! I won't be writing on the inside so you can easily give it away once it reaches you. Comments must be left by 12 noon Eastern time on Tuesday, June 25 and the next day I will be announcing who is receiving each card from this past week! Full details here.

With the sentiment "heartfelt wishes", today's card could be given away for any number of reasons -- birthday, wedding, retirement, congratulations -- so many possibilities! This is one of those cards that is elegant and yet is very quick and easy to make! This pattern from the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper provides elegance and combining it with ribbon and card stock , along with a couple stamps and ink, made for a card that literally took less than 10 minutes from start to finish!
Love this card? Be sure to leave a comment and it could be yours! I'm giving away every card that I share on the blog from this past Tuesday through Monday. Leave comments on every post if you like. More details here.
Keeping it sweet and simple for Saturday...enjoy your day!
Happy Friday! Hope you have some time for card making this weekend because I have five new card sketches for you to try! All are square cards and while I would lean towards making each and everyone as a 3x3 card (my fave square card size), you could use these for any size square card and could even modify for a rectangular card. For those who want to print out the
sketches to save, be sure to click here to open as a PDF.
Good to Know - Stampgoodness Tips:
Stampin' Up! does sell small square envelopes that are just right for 3x3 mini cards -- item 107309 -- $7.50 for 40 envelopes measuring 3-1/8" x 3-1/8".
You can easily create an envelope of your own for a square card from
Designer Series Paper. For a 3 x 3 card, you need a 5 x 5 piece of Designer
Series Paper that is scored at 2-1/4" using your Diagonal Plate for the
Simply Scored Scoring Tool; for a 4 x 4 card, you need a 6-1/2" x 6-1/2" piece of paper that is scored at 3".
A 4-1/4" square card will fit in a standard medium size envelope from Stampin' Up! and won't require additional postage unless of course you have embellished the card in way that requires that the card be hand-cancelled. Square envelopes mailed through the postal service do require extra postage.
What sketch will you try first? Please leave a quick comment sharing the sketch number!
Were you hoping to find a card that I am giving away today? Today I have something even better...five cards! More specifically, five mini square cards that feature the Stampin' Up! 2013-2015 In Colors. Here they are:
