Today's project is all about taking something that is entirely plain and making it pretty! Stampin' Up! products enable me transform a plain white cotton tote into a fun and pretty treat bag in about an hour! Remeber you can click the image above to see it larger.
I'm thinking up lots of others ways to put this technique to use and hopefully I will get your wheels churning today! Be sure to leave a comment letting me know what sort of design you would add to a tote bag...perhaps you see it here on Stampgoodness in the future!
Here's what you do to create a similar project:
- Take MDS and put together a design that you like.
- Group together all the objects on the page and then mirror them.
- Save your document.
- Print onto iron on transfer paper (available at most office supply and craft store).
- Using the manufacturer's instructions, transfer onto your tote bag, t-shirt, Stampin' Up! Mini Muslin Bag, etc.
- Enjoy your project!
Good to Know - Stampgoodness Tips:
- Carefully review the instructions for your iron transfer paper and what materials it can be used on -- this is important for achieving optimal results!
- Add some ribbon, buttons, or other embellishments to add a special finishing touch to your project.
Today's project was inspired by two challenges! The color scheme came from Dynamic Duos (DD375):
The Tangerine Tango and Basic Black are a fabulous and bright option for Halloween!
And the layout of the design came from the Pixel Maven's Digi-Challenge (PMDC-30):
