We're kicking off this week of kits with the Celebration Basics Kit! I'll share with you what I love about this kit and provide ideas on how you can use it over and over again!
The Celebration Basics Kit contains everything you see above:
- 15 Kraft Pennants
- Die Cut Letters that spell "celebrate"
- 12 feet of chunky baker's twine
- 10 printed goodie bags
- 1 sheet of bag closures
- 10 round printed tags
- 20 perforated tags
The kit is just $14.95 and is item #133007.
Below is the banner that I put together:
Assembling the banner conisist of two key steps:
- Adhering the letters
- Stringing the banner.
Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue worked great for adhering the letters and and the stringing part is very easy.
Here are a couple other pics for you:
Notice the holes at the top of the pennants? They are generously sized and making the stringing a breeze! I've yet to do anything with the bags and round tags, however, I can tell you that the bags are nice and thick! Great quality!
Dressing up the banner is very easy...I simply looped on some chevron ribbon in the top image above. And did you notice the chunky baker's twine in the bottom image? I absolutely love how thick it is! The colors appear to be closest to Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.
Here are some ideas for times to use the banner:
- Baby Shower
- Retirement Party
- Birthday
- Bridal Shower
- Engagement Party
- Anniversary Party
- Graduation
Even more ideas...
- Hang it in a colleague's office to celebrate a big promotion
- Display it on a friends front porch to mark the completion of a big race or other achievement (wouldn't that be fun to come home to?)
- Place it in the dining room before a family dinner to mark a special occassion for your child/grandchild/niece/nephew/god child...maybe it is first band concert, excelling at the spelling bee, or being named to a varsity team.
So many possibilities!
When would you most likely display a "celebrate" banner? I'd love to know your response...please leave a comment!
Here's what I love about this kit:
- The quality -- nice thick Kraft pennants, tags, and bags. The pennant will stand up to repeated use!
- The chunky baker's twine -- it is rustic yet so lush!
- The 15 pennants and only 9 letters in celebrate -- yep, 6 more pennants to use as you wish and plenty of baker's twine left!
- Ability to personalize.
My top two suggestions for personalizing:
1. Loop on a nice wide ribbon such as the chevron ribbon.
2. Color the die cut letters before adhering. Mine were left white for maximum flexibility but you could color and I would do it in one of two ways:
- Brayer on an ink color of your choice
- Grab a sponge dauber and use it to apply ink
If you wanted to get fancy, you might add glitter or emboss the letters...hmm might need another kit to try this!
The Celebration Basics Kit gets two thumbs up from me! You'll be seeing more oif it later this week when I share the Bermuda Bay Celebration Add-On Kit!
I'm so glad you stopped by and had a chance to learn about the kit. Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!
