The Stamp Review Crew is thrilled to share ideas with you today featuriung the Hello Lovely stamp set! It is a fabulous set and I received mine last summer at the Stampin' Up! 25th Anniversary Convention. Check out all the great images in this set --
A truly fabulous mix of graphic images (including the oh so popular ampersand) and sentiments! If you own this set and have not used it lately, now is the perfect time to dust it off!
Have you ever heard a of a circular journal? It is one that a small group of friends sends back and forth amongst one another. Long ago when I was a really good pen pal, this would have been great for some of my pen pals and I to do! Today's project is a spin on that idea.
What you just saw is a little mini book. I'll be sending it out to Dawn Tidd. Dawn is a fellow Stamp Review Crew member and Stampin' Pretty Pals. She just so happens to be the person who suggested that I be on the Stamp Review Crew. My hope is that once Dawn receives it she will complete a page and then pass it along to someone else. Each person can add a quote or story or staming (or a combo of all these) to a page. There are pages for 7 people to fill the book and my hope is that the book will be like a boomerang and come back to me once it is complete.
My page is not quite done and I'll share it later this week once it is finished up! I have a little clipping to do from magazines for my creation.
Making the Book
- The covers (front and back) are left over banner pieces from the Celebrations Basics Kit -- I simply cut off the pointed ends.
- The inside pieces are 4-1/4" x 4-3/4" pieces of Naturals White cardstock and I did add little stamped images from Hello Lovely to each piece.
- The book is held together with pieces of the Denim Ribbon...my first choice was to use "o-rings" but my package of them is completely MIA!
- My Stamp-a-ma-jig is the only way that I got the "hello hello hello" so neat on the book front!
What do you think of this idea? Fingers crossed that book makes it back and is filled with inspiring storeies, quotes and creativity! I'll be sure to share if/when this happens!
